Our story

Everything starts in 1970 when Sergio Tegon, drawing from the experience he gained working in some of the leading Groups of Italian fashion, decides that the time has come to undertake his own challenge. The entrepreneur also knows well that starting his own business means taking risks, but his passion for fashion, combined with the knowledge of the tailoring techniques and the market, throw him into an adventure set to consolidate in a commercially successful company. The fifty years of story of the Group cover the stages of an all-Italian story, with a constantly evolving fashion, set to put ‘Made in Italy’ on top of the world. The company of Venice, which by culture and mindset has always been open to change, has always managed to intuitively predict tastes and trends, proposing collections which have obtained growing public acclaim. The Seventy’s brand appeals to a careful customer who rewards the high quality of tailoring tradition, ready to surprise you with unexpected innovative details. Its all-Italian style has revealed great potential abroad, as well, where the company is expanding to cover new markets. The baton passes now to the three children, who have inherited the same passion and talent of their father: Pierpaolo is the CEO of the Company, Francesca is the Creative Director of Styling and Communication and Giovanna is Responsible for Business Relations. It’s a new generation that speaks and especially listens to the contemporary languages and up and coming lifestyles. With this in mind, 19.70 has been established, an easy-chic brand targeting a female, nomadic and young public, wishing to explore the new languages of non-conventional style. The secret ingredient of the growth of the Group, in this successful recipe, is always just one: quality. A total quality is pursued along every step of the production and commercial chain and every detail is cared for. The next fifty years will be another big challenge, but the Ca’ da Mosto Group is ready to ride it with a clear view and growth objectives that will allow the Company to expand in the key markets of the world.

1970
Seventy presents its first collection.

In this year the Beatles publish their hit “Let it be”, the Concorde launches the supersonic space age and the Apollo 13, after cancelling its travel to the moon, brings back the three astronauts safe and sound. The Messner brothers, Reinhold and Günther, conquer the untouched peak of the Nanga Parbat. Our Country, ten years after the movie by Pietro Germi starring the unforgettable Marcello Mastroianni, obtains the Italian-style divorce.

1980
Seventy presents its first collection.

Establishment of Ca’ da Mosto, Holding company of the Tegon family, of which the Pepper, Moncler, Henry Cotton, Cerruti 1881 and other brands will become part.

Umberto Eco publishes The Name of the Rose, a worldwide success with 50 million copies sold, translated in 40 languages. In an attempt to produce a super-strong adhesive, Spencer Silver of the 3M company mistakenly invents the post-it. Pac Man is born, quickly eating all other videogames.  

John Lennon is killed by five gunshots. The rock band Led Zeppelin breaks up.

1990

The Iraqi invasion of Kuwait triggers the Gulf War while Germany is reunited after the fall of the Berlin Wall. The jail wall also falls for Nelson Mandela, released after 27 years of imprisonment. Four years later, he will become the President of South Africa.

2000
